There are currently two types of characters available to play as: The Distorted and Human. Each one is unique and gets to pick a starting ability of your choice. More on that, plus character creation ideas, below!
They are the evil monsters that lurk in this world, that cannot stand to see an innocent human in their midst. They have been distorted by the signal tower and developed strange behavors and abilities.
When you create a Distorted character, you are encouraged get creative! You get to pick one ability when you start, which in a sense is the "base" for your character. For example - an ability could be infinitely stretching arms, like the Janitor from the Maw.
Then, of course, is deciding how your Distorted looks like! This is where the creativity really comes in. You are free to make your character as creepy and mysterious as you so desire. The only thing we ask is that it will fit into the Little Nightmares world in some way, and not be totally unrelated.
They are the little survivors, unaffected by the signal tower. Most of them only around 1 foot tall, they struggle to live in this world infested with monsters. A friend is a rare thing. So - humans! As you might already know, most of them are very small in size (generally around 1ft though it varies), and they are kids, like Six and Mono. Some are older, some are younger, but none are adults.
Like a Distorted, humans get to pick a starting ability to help them. Examples are camouflage or more sensitive hearing. More on that below!
